APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES:

Methyl Ethyl Ketone is a transparent, colorless, flammable, low boiling point liquid that evaporates rapidly. This organic material has a low viscosity which allows it to be used in the production of coatings.

Methyl ethyl ketone is soluble in water and a wide range of solvents. MEK as a solvent is widely used in the paint and resin industries, printing, synthetic leather and refineries including:
– Solvent of many polymers and pigments
– Solvents for vinyl, nitrocellulose, acrylic, epoxy and urethane coatings
– Solvent for the separation of epoxy polymers and polyurethane resins
– Solvent for waxing process in oil engine production refineries
– Solvent for the production of solvent based adhesives
– Urethane lacquer solvent for magnetic strips
– Solvent for printing inks
– Polyurethane solvent in synthetic leather industries
