Description

APPLICATION AND PROPERTIES:

Methylene chloride or dichloromethane is a colorless, volatile, non-flammable liquid with high stability and low boiling point. It is one of the chloride based solvents that is soluble in a wide range of organic compounds. It is used in many chemical cycles like:

• As a washer in shoe factories.
• As a gas in the production of hot and cold foam (also called sponge or foam gas.)
• Production of raw materials such as methylal in pharmaceuticals.
• As a washer for segmentation and filtering.
•  Production of polyurethane foam and floor coatings.
• For paint removal in paint, resin, sealants and adhesive industries.
• Spray fuel
• Production of photographic films, synthetic fibers, adhesives, printing inks and printed circuit boards.
